It’s almost time to go Motoring Mad in the heart of the South Island

Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines! Yes, it’s that time of the year again for Motoring Mad, Gore’s must-be-there event for petrol heads and car lovers of all ages.

Designed to get any motoring enthusiast’s blood pumping, Motoring Mad is a three-day fundraiser event for the Mataura Scouts. It’s also a legal way to cruise Gore’s Main Street all night long in your shiny automobile.

3 days of car lovin’

Motoring Mad kicks off at 7pm on the evening of Friday, 16 November when the Main Street of Gore is closed to ordinary traffic and made available for some serious car cruising all night long.

This is followed on Saturday, 17 November with another opportunity for participants to show off their favourite wheels as they head out on a 200 km drive among the scenic highlights of the fabulous Gore District.

The event concludes on Sunday, 18 November with the Motoring Mad car show held at Tulloch Park, Mataura. Not only is this a great opportunity to ogle all the motoring goodness on display, but there’ll also be a great family vibe with live music and plenty of entertainment for the littlies.
